Privacy Policy

Bitovn is a product suite of VAYUZ Technologies Pvt Ltd (“VAYUZ”, “we”, “our”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we collect through www.bitovn.com and its contact form, why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

1. Who we are

VAYUZ Technologies Pvt Ltd builds and runs Bitovn. We are responsible for (the “data fiduciary” or “controller” of) the personal data described here.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer or an EU/UK representative. For any privacy request, contact our Grievance Officer (section 11).

2. What we collect

You give us: name, email, phone, company, and the message you send through our contact form or by email.

Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, referring site, and cookie or similar identifiers. Analytics tools run only after you allow them (see the Cookie Policy).

From others: our service providers (hosting, security, form and spam protection, analytics) may pass us data needed to run the site and reply to you.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

  • Reply to enquiries and demo requests: to take steps you asked for; our legitimate interest in running our business.
  • Protect our form from spam and abuse (Google reCAPTCHA): legitimate interest / strictly necessary.
  • Website statistics and anonymised session insights (Google Analytics, Hotjar): your consent (Analytics category).
  • Keep the site secure and remember your cookie choice: legitimate interest / strictly necessary.
  • Meet legal, tax and accounting duties: legal obligation.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal does not affect processing done before it.

4. Cookies

Non-essential cookies are off until you choose. Change your choice any time via Cookie preferences in the footer. Details of each cookie: Cookie Policy.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising. We share it only with:

  • Our team members who need it.
  • Service providers acting for us: Hostinger (website hosting), Cloudflare (security and delivery), WPForms (contact form), Google (reCAPTCHA spam protection; Analytics only with your consent), Hotjar (session insights, only with your consent), and our email provider.
  • Authorities, courts or advisers when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
  • A buyer or successor in a merger, acquisition or restructuring.

6. US privacy rights

We do not sell personal information and do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural or targeted advertising. You may ask to know, access, correct or delete your personal information (section 9). We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. An authorised agent may make a request for you with proof of authority. We verify requests by matching details you give us with what we hold.

7. International transfers

We are based in India and some providers process data in other countries, including the USA and the EU. Where the law requires, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by those providers.

8. How long we keep it

Enquiry data: as long as needed for the enquiry or any resulting contract, then as required for legal, tax and dispute purposes. Cookie durations: see the Cookie Policy. Consent records: kept as proof of your choice, without your IP address or browser details. When data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including India’s DPDP Act 2023, the EU/UK GDPR and US state laws), you may:

  • access a summary of your data and how we use it;
  • correct, complete or update it;
  • erase it;
  • withdraw consent;
  • object to or restrict some processing, and get a portable copy (EU/UK);
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapable (India);
  • raise a grievance with us, and then complain to a regulator.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards (encrypted connections, access controls, trusted providers). No system is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects you, we will notify you and authorities as the law requires.

If you are not satisfied: in India, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India; in the EU/UK, to your local data protection authority (UK: the ICO); in the US, to your state attorney general or privacy agency.

12. Children

Our site and services are not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites are covered by their own privacy policies.

14. Changes

We will post changes here with a new “Last updated” date. If a change affects what you consented to, we will ask again.
